Kelly's designs are for the bride with individual
style of sophisticated simplicity. Each design encompasses excessive
creativity, attention to detail and richness in the overall
design. For Kelly,
the designing and construction of a gown
is a work of art. She uses the finest silks, laces and ornamentation.
Each piece is individually cut, hand beaded and sewn. The internal
construction is beautifully tailored to provide the most comfort
and best fit. The result is a work of art for the bride on her
wedding day.
In the year 2000, Chase Conaway took his wife Kelly's
creative vision for designing beautiful wedding gowns -- along
with his own desire to discover a creative outlet for his
talents in business -- and created Kelly Chase Couture.
Kelly's childhood love of sewing and tailoring coupled with
a passion for fashion led her to pursue an education in fashion
design. By age 13, Kelly's plan was in place to attend the
University of Wisconsin Madison to complete a bachelor's degree
in apparel design, then move on to attend the Fashion Institute
of Technology (F.I.T.) to complete an associates degree in
fashion design. It was during these years that Kelly was introduced
to the bridal industry by working in the alteration department
of a large bridal salon. It was here that Kelly learned first
hand how to fit and properly construct wedding gowns. With
all the skills in place, Kelly worked in both the bridal and
ready-to-wear industries for several years prior to 2000.
Chase Conaway is the Chief Executive Officer and
co-founder of Kelly Chase Couture. Chase's role in the company
relates to the day-to-day operations, marketing and branding,
graphics, sourcing of materials and labor. Chase was born
in Valdosta, Georgia, and grew up in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Chase returned to Valdosta and attended Valdosta State University,
where he studied archaeology & anthropology, and received
a bachelor's of arts in sociology. After graduation, Chase
relocated to Houston, Texas, and attended The Ocean Corporation,
where he was trained as a professional commercial diver.
It was here in Houston where
Kelly and Chase first met and eventually Chase decided put his
love of the sea on hold and join Kelly in the pursuit of high
fashion. KELLY CHASE COUTURE was born. Kelly and Chase recently
relocated their lives and corporate headquarters to south
Florida where they can have the best of both of worlds, a
connection to the sea and a solid base for high fashion.
